The Cold War.

Standards Addressed: 10.9 Students analyze the international developments in the post-World War II world. 2. Analyze the causes of the Cold War, with the free world on one side and Soviet client states on the other.

 

Assignment: Make a cylinder and on each of its 4 sides write at least a 6 sentence explanation, and a drawing, illustrating the following:

 

 

1)      Explain what the Cold War was, its causes, and important events in Europe that brought it about (write at least 6 sentences, with a drawing)

 

2)      US response: Truman doctrine and Marshall Plan (write at least 6 sentences, with a drawing)

 

 

3)      Berlin blockade and airlift and Berlin Wall (write at least 6 sentences, with a drawing)

 

4)      End of Cold War (Solidarity movement, Pope John Paul) (write at least 6 sentences, with a drawing)
